Happy Tots strives to be the institution of choice for a unique learning experience that is facilitated in pristine conditions by qualified and motivated Staff.
It is an under privileged community institution and one of the key reasons for the institution’s continued existence is the general necessity on both parents to work and therefore needing a place where quality care is given to their children. The school consequently offers a daily service from 7h00 to 18h00.
The school has an average enrolment of 110 children from 3 months up to the age of 5 years and has become the preferred feeder school to the Primary schools in the area.
Eleven staff members are employed at the institution of which the principal, eight teachers (other being a handy man and cook).
All operational costs including salaries are paid from the monthly school fees. It is important to record that the school is run on a non profit basis with the management committee of 9 persons being unpaid volunteers primarily drawn from parents.
Happy tots is formally registered as a Non Profit Organisation (NPO 047 – 189) and the institution has the necessary recognition from the Department of Education, Health and Social Services and do not receive any state subsidy.
